PDVSA unloaded LPG tanker on Vargas coasts

Caracas, May 14, 2019.- Between the months of January and April, Petróleos de Venezuela, SA (PDVSA) executed tank unloading and filling operations for PDVSA Gas Comunal through direct maneuvers from the Liquefied Gas tanker Oil (LPG) Laperouse, at the pier of Bolipuerto in the state of Vargas.

The boat with an autonomy of 15 to 20 days in each dockage, loaded more than 2,300 cisterns during its phases of operation, for the care of more than 3 million families located in the states Miranda, Aragua, Carabobo, Vargas and District Capital.

This procedure, carried out in Venezuela for the first time, is established as a historical milestone of the Bolivarian Government in favor of the safe domestic gas supply for the town, which also involved the Ministry of Popular Power of Oil, PDVSA and its gas subsidiaries, to the Institute National Aquatic Spaces (INEA), Maritime Firefighters, Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and Bolipuerto.

This constitutes a discharge and filling maneuver of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (by cabotage), coming from Anzoátegui state, executed by highly trained personnel and under strict safety regulations.

In this way, Petróleos de Venezuela, SA, continues adding efforts to satisfy domestic gas demand in the country, with strong actions that contribute to the good living of the Venezuelan people.
