Pelé's death briefly unites a politically divided Brazil

Brazil's deep political polarization has briefly ceded after the death of soccer legend Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known as Pelé, easing tensions somewhat before the inauguration of the new president on Sunday.
Since the confirmation of Pelé's death, virtually all TV channels, news websites and newspapers in Brazil have made it their main focus.
Politicians from all domestic parties and various world leaders offered their condolences, momentarily uniting Brazilians backing president-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and current president Jair Bolsonaro.
"Few Brazilians took the name of our country as far as he did. No matter how different from Portuguese the language, foreigners from the four corners of the planet soon found a way to pronounce the magic word: Pelé," Lula posted on Twitter.
"We are saddened by the passing of a man who, through soccer, took the name of Brazil to the world. He transformed soccer into art and joy," Bolsonaro wrote on his own Twitter account.
