Personnel seen as key for Mexico energy reform

Bnamericas

Procuring the necessary technology for non-conventional energy resource extraction, along with specialized personnel, are the Mexican energy reform's main challenges, according to national hydrocarbons commission (CNH) commissioner Edgar Rangel Germán.

"The human resources issue is the most important one for me," Rangel said in an interview with El Financiero newspaper. "We don't have enough professionals to meet all this potential."

He added that the most important step after implementation of the energy reform will be defining the technical conditions of each field - the type of basin, bedrock and flow - in order to find the right contract models.
