Peru relaunches call to audit US$5bn Talara refinery revamp
Peru’s national oil company Petroperú issued a second international call to audit the US$5.29bn modernization of the Talara refinery.
BNamericas previously reported that the original process was declared void because the top bidder’s offer was 10% above the referential estimate amount of US$1.93mn.
Proposals for the 210-day contract are due September 4, according to procurement information available in the Documents box in the top right corner.
The work will determine if the components considered in the revamp comply with global standards or projects of similar complexity, and if decisions were based on sound technical, economic and legal grounds.
The NOC also has a tender underway to support the production management system of the refinery which is in final commissioning to increase capacity to 95,000b/d from 65,000b/d.
