
Peru's Provías Nacional executed 311 million soles in October

Provías Nacional , a program attached to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC), accrued S/ 311.4 million in October, that is, 120.7% of the spending goal set for this period. Likewise, it reached a level of 74.4% in total execution so far this year, which is equivalent to S/ 3,308 million of the Modified Institutional Budget (PIM), which amounts to S/ 4,448 million.
Regarding investments, a level of 81.3% was reached in the accumulated execution until October of this year, equivalent to S/ 1,787 million of the PIM, which amounts to S/ 2,198 million.
Regarding operation and maintenance, the accumulated execution in activities reached S/ 1,520 million, which represents an execution of 67.6% of the total budget in activities.
The execution of investments in the month of October corresponded to improvement works with a definitive solution, improvement with Proyecto Perú and release of land to implement road infrastructure of highways and bridges in the non-concessioned National Road Network.
"This management makes all efforts to meet the MEF goal, prioritizing the execution of investments regarding highway projects, bridges, State-to-State (G2G) contracts, Peru 2 Project, and studies," said Rufino Galindo, executive director of National Provías.
