Petrobras starts pumping gas from pre-salt Campos basin

Brazil's state-run energy major Petrobras (NYSE: PBR) has started to pump natural gas from the pre-salt region of the Campos basin, a spokesperson for the group confirmed to BNamericas. According to the company, Petrobras is currently producing 2Mm3/d of natural gas. The operation is being undertaken at the pre-salt Lula field, in the BM-S-11 block. Petrobras is operator of the field with a 65% stake, in a partnership with BG Group (LSE: BG) and Galp Energia, which hold respective stakes of 25% and 10%.
