Petrodorado unloads stakes in Colombia blocks

Canadian oil and gas company Petrodorado divested its stakes in the La Maye and Moriche blocks in Colombia.

Petrodorado said in a statement that it sold its stake in La Maye to an unnamed private oil company, thereby eliminating at least US$800,000 of exploration commitments.

The Moriche block, meanwhile, was sold to a "third party purchaser" by operator Pacific E&P.

In related news, fellow Canadian hydrocarbons firm Canacol Energy announced that its Oboe 1 exploration well at the Clarinete gas field in Colombia tested at a maximum rate of 26Mf3/d, or 4,561boe/d of dry gas with no water from the Cienaga de Oro reservoir.

In a statement, Canacol said it plans to ramp up contractual gas sales in Colombia to 90Mf3/d by March 31 of this year from 51Mf3/d currently, as a result of a network expansion by pipeline operator Promigas.
