Petroperú maintains optimal and sustained production in Block I of Talara

This Petroperu release was published using machine translation.
During its first year in charge of the operation of Block I, located between the La Brea and Pariñas districts of the province of Talara, in the Piura region, Petroperú has maintained optimal and sustained production, reaching average production flows of 506 BOPD ( barrels of oil per day) and 3.4 MMPCD (million cubic feet of natural gas per day).
The efficient performance registered in the third quarter of this year ratifies the capacity that Petroperú has in managing the operation and management of this oil field in Northwest Peru.
In this period, an average of 209 wells are operated that have accumulated a production of 135.3 thousand barrels of controlled oil and 731 million cubic feet of natural gas, generating accumulated income of MM$ (million dollars) 13.0 and MM$ 2.7, respectively.
Production of oil and natural gas to the III Quarter of the year 2022
Oil production from Block I is transferred to the Talara Refinery, which continues in its start-up process for the next production of low-sulfur fuels. Natural gas is marketed to the company Enel Generación Piura SA for electricity generation.
As recalled, through Supreme Decree No. 030-2021, on December 27, 2021, Petroperú signed the Temporary License Contract for the Exploitation of Block I, for a period of 22 months.
The operation of this block marked the beginning of Petroperú's return to oil exploitation. For this, it has qualified and experienced personnel for the tasks of exploitation and development of oil fields and, it is in this line, that blocks 192 and 64 will soon be developed, in the Loreto region.
