Lima, 21.11.22. La Pampilla Refinery signed individual compensation agreements with 296 artisanal fishermen affected by the spill in Ventanilla.

In this way, the company reaffirms its commitment to compensate the affected fishermen during the entire period in which fishing activity may be prohibited in the affected districts.

To date, the company has signed compensation agreements with more than 4,000 people registered in the Single Registry of Affected People, belonging to various economic activities.

The company's efforts will continue to focus on indemnifying the nearly 10,300 people registered in the Register, prepared by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and INDECI.

The agreements are made after a dialogue process with each person and responds to the identification of the degree of affectation by family, being a process that follows the guidelines established by the United Nations.

Starting with the compensation firm, the company will focus on carrying out productive and long-term projects that help improve the quality of life of families. The company urges and reaffirms its collaboration with the authorities so that, in the shortest possible time, economic activities in the area return.
