IDB approved US$140,000 non-reimbursable technical cooperation to strengthen capacity of Fundación José Maria Covelo, a second tier financial institution, to promote access to finance for off-grid clean energy products and services in Honduras. *** Costa Rica state refiner Recope reported startup of a 40kWp photovoltaic (PV) system at the Moín refinery complex to complement existing 91kWp PV at the facility. Elvatron installed the 160 new panels. *** And Dominican Republic state transmission company Eted issued a call to build 138/69 substation Hato Mayor and expansion of 138kV substation El Seybo y San Pedro II. Offers are due November 5 and work should be completed within 458 days, according to bidding rules, available in Spanish here.
