Schlumberger denies prepping lawsuit against Pemex
Schlumberger has denied a media report published earlier this week that claims the US oil driller is planning to sue Pemex over non-payment of services.
“Schlumberger is aware of a media report in which it is claimed that the company is considering initiating a lawsuit against PEMEX," the company said in a statement emailed to BNamericas.
"We wish to make it clear that this report has no basis, and that no such lawsuit is under consideration. Furthermore, no Schlumberger manager, legal representative or authorized spokesperson has been contacted in regard to the original media report and we have accordingly requested an immediate retraction of that article.
Schlumberger continues to work closely with our valued customer PEMEX, and to provide our services in Mexico where we have been operating for 80 years.”
