Solutions and managed services integrator Sencinet, has just announced a partnership with IBM through IBM Security, a unit that offers one of the world's most advanced and integrated portfolios of enterprise security products and services. Under the agreement, which covers all of Latin America, Sencinet is authorized not only to develop solutions based on IBM tools, but also to resell these technologies to its customer base.

The first result of this partnership is the use of QRadar® Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), from IBM Security® to strengthen the security of the 13,412 lottery houses spread throughout the national territory. The connection of bookmakers with Caixa Econômica Federal's IT structure and its respective cyber security apparatus is the result of a contract recently signed by Sencinet after winning the bidding process promoted by the state bank.

According to Sencinet's CISO & Head Of Cyber Security, Gustavo Duani, IBM tools add to Sencinet the ability to receive massive data referring to various types of information and events and, based on accurate analysis, generate alerts under possibilities of security incidents that can be immediately dealt with by the SOC team.

“Partnering with IBM is another significant step in Sencinet's chosen strategic direction of providing more and more security products and services to our customers. The variety of alternatives offered by the portfolio of one of the largest technology companies in the world is a condition in line with our objective of being able to provide options adapted to the specific needs of organizations in all the verticals in which we operate”, says Duani.

The Head of IBM's Information Security area, Roberto Engler, highlights that IBM's differential lies in the inclusion of artificial intelligence in threat management tools, helping in the visibility, triage of threats and automation of investigations, allowing for more integrated and effective responses. . “Sencinet has a customer base formed by large organizations mainly through the provision of connectivity solutions. Now, through this partnership, IBM and Sencinet together will have the opportunity to ensure increasingly secure operations for these companies and the market in general”, he says.
