Telefónica extends its return-to-office protocol to the Hispam region and Brazil
Madrid, May 12, 2020 - Telefónica , UNI Global Union, UGT and CCOO have signed a global agreement by which they commit to jointly address the plan to return to the workplace after the Covid-19 crisis in Spain, Brazil and Hispam countries.
The objective is to join efforts and ensure the collaboration of all to guarantee at all times the safety and health of all workers who are part of the Telefónica Group.
The return plan establishes teleworking as a priority and preference, until the World Health Organization and the competent local Governments or Authorities dictate control of the pandemic.
The return of the workers to the work centers will be done gradually and in stages. The agreement includes specific aspects in relation to guaranteeing the availability and use of personal protective equipment, health monitoring mechanisms by the Group's medical services, facilitating compliance with the action protocols defined in the different places of work, as well as the management of the different stages established in this plan.
It also includes the commitment to create spaces for collaboration, in the field of collective bargaining, with the aim of analyzing and capitalizing on the learning derived from the management of the pandemic towards the consolidation of teleworking and flexibility schemes, as well as new protocols for health and coexistence.
In each country, the appropriate systems will be established locally through health and hygiene committees, temporary commissions linked to the Covid-19 or other dialogue instruments to ensure compliance with the agreements and review any extraordinary incident that may arise up to the control of the pandemic.
The health of all workers is today more than ever, Telefónica's priority and this collaboration agreement between the company and the majority representatives of its workers in all countries will allow a safe return to normality.
