Telefónica seals key partnerships to upgrade security portfolio
Through its IT security subsidiary ElevenPaths, Telefónica has presented a new cyber security product line resulting from alliances with key players including Alien Vault, BlueCoat, Intel Security, Palo Alto Networks, RSA and Vaultive.
Telefónica has teamed up with Palo Alto Networks to develop a service that can identify mobile malware through integration with three industry-leading technologies: WildFire – a cloud-based malware analysis and prevention service, Tacyt – a cyberintelligence tool for mobile threats developed by ElevenPaths and Sinfonier – an open system for real-time processing of information sources.
The agreement between Telefónica and BlueCoat includes adding filtering systems used to access Proxy SG Internet incorporating ElevenPaths' Metashield Protector solution, which prevents information leaks from documents, meaning all files are scanned before publication in web services.
All access information generated by Proxy SG systems is accessible from Telefónica's SandaS platform, which runs filters or blockers in http/https accesses from a single point.
Telefónica has also partnered with RSA, accessing its Security Analytics solution which will allow connection with SandaS, providing a holistic view of companies' security and external threats and vulnerabilities that may affect them, as well as risk, governance and compliance.
Intel Security will provide security event management and correlation system NITRO and connect with other security systems.
ElevenPaths recently acquired GesConsultor, a technology solution specializing in management and compliance systems.
