Ten firms submit bids for US$12mn solar plant

Ten firms have presented bids for a 1.2MW photovoltaic solar pilot plant set for Argentina's San Juan province. Economic offers will be opened on October 16, and construction of the plant is set to start in early 2010, the province said in a statement. Investment in the project is expected to reach 46mn pesos (US$12mn), and the plant will be financed entirely by the province under the administration of San Juan power utility Epse. Companies that submitted bids include Dyca, Autotrol, Teyma Abergoa, IEC, Tramat, Julio Nacussi, Bauen, Cicon, Pomsa and Cile Peral.
