V.tal closes new contracts with providers in the Northeast region to provide fiber in 41 municipalities
Press Release
By V.tal
São Paulo, March 28, 2022 - The largest fiber optic infrastructure company in the country and the first neutral end-to-end connectivity network in the Brazilian market, V.tal has in recent months signed contracts with 7 regional FTTH service providers (fiber to the customer's home) in the Northeast region of the country. In all, these providers represent a market of about 3 million homes with fiber optic internet service available for contracting in 41 municipalities in the states of Alagoas, Bahia, Maranhão, Ceará, Paraíba, Rio Grande do Norte, Sergipe, Pernambuco and Piauí.
BK Telecomunicações, an internet provider that offers high-speed internet in the states of Alagoas and Pernambuco, is one of V.tal's customers who decided to rent the fiber optic infrastructure instead of building its own network. “We already envisioned the neutral network model and thanks to the partnership with V.tal we will be able to anticipate by at least 3 years our strategic objective of reaching the entire Northeast region with our high-speed internet offer, which should be achieved by the end of this year. With V.tal's fiber optic infrastructure, the BK Group will be able to focus on its core business: delivering the technologies we are developing to improve education and security in our region. Until then, it would be necessary to build the entire communication infrastructure and then deploy these technologies”, explains Welliton Sá, Executive Director of BK Telecomunicações.
V.tal offers neutral end-to-end FTTH network solutions in addition to wholesale services, with a unique position in the national territory to serve regional operators and providers. The company has a robust fiber optic network with about 400 thousand km, reaching 2.3 thousand cities and more than 15 million homes passed in Brazil. Among national operators and regional providers, the company already has more than 400 contracts across the country.
