Windstream Wholesale establishes presence in El Paso datacenter
From Windstream Wholesale
June 11, 2019
Windstream Wholesale, a leading provider of advanced network communications, today announced it is establishing a presence in the MDC El Paso, Texas, data center.
MDC’s edge data centers are strategically located at network crossing points between Mexico and the U.S. where they connect the world’s largest concentration of Mexico networks. Windstream Wholesale will offer 10 Gbps and 100 Gbps Wavelength Service at El Paso, providing yet another diverse option connection into Mexico.
As the largest metropolitan area on the U.S.-Mexico border, the El Paso location is the fastest growing data center in southwest Texas and a critical gateway to Mexico. With existing POPs in Laredo and McAllen, Windstream Wholesale’s added presence in El Paso brings connectivity at all the major Mexican border crossings cities and aligns with its strategy for helping international companies connect to the USA.
"The West and Southwest U.S. continue to be a focal point for business and population growth as evidenced by our tremendous success and strong traction at our Mexico border crossing facilities," said Joe Scattareggia, executive vice president for Windstream Wholesale. "Windstream Wholesale will continue to build on this success by meeting the needs of our customers for access to strategic markets in the U.S. as well as Mexico and Latin America."
