In this way, it would become the largest airport in Latin America, with the capacity to manage 750,000 takeoff and landing operations per year. In the passenger area, a terminal with a surface area of 130,000 m² and a storage area and hangar of 420,000 m² is planned, and the project will be developed in four proportional stages in their areas and dynamism. The airport would focus on the cargo business. Its location provides access to railways, ports, and highways, which should make it a multimodal cargo center for the region. Campos Gerais Airport is located in the municipalities of Palmeira and Ponta Grossa, State of Paraná, 75 kilometers from the state capital, Curitiba, 8 kilometers from the headquarters of the municipality of Palmeira and 17 kilometers from the headquarters of the municipality of Ponta Grossa, through PR 151 in the region called Campos General.
