Description: The project consists of the construction of a combined cycle plant that will be located in the municipality of Tuxpan de Rodríguez Cano, in the state of Veracruz. The plant will consist of 2 trains with a capacity of 550 MW each. Each train will be equipped with 1 turbine that operates on natural gas, 1 steam generator for heat recovery, 1 turbine that operates on steam and 1 electric generator cooled by hydrogen. The plant will export the electrical energy generated to the National Electric System operated by CFE, for which a 400 kV substation of the plant will be built, a 400 kV "maneuvering" substation that will subsequently be transferred to CFE and two lines of 400 kV transmission that will be interconnected to the existing A3680 and A3780 lines that run from the Presidente Adolfo López Mateos Thermal Power Plant (Tuxpan) to the "Texcoco" power substation. To supply fuel to the plant, a gas pipeline branch will be built, suitable for a flow of 185 MMPCD of natural gas and an approximate length of 150m, as well as a natural gas regulation, control and measurement station. The branch of the gas pipeline will be interconnected to the 42 "South Texas - Tuxpan gas pipeline. The water supply for the plant's operation will be taken from the Tuxpan River (Pantepec), through a water intake work that will be located in said river, approximately 8 km from the plant, and a conduction line that will be expressly built for this end. The Tajín Energía I Combined Cycle Power Plant will be built on a portion of the property called “Puerta Blanca”, located at km 5.5 of the Tuxpan - Tamiahua Highway. In total, 30 months are required from the award of the contract for the preparation and construction stage.
