With the expansion and modernization of the line, an increase of 43% of the users served is estimated, going from the current 160,000 passengers per day to 230,000 passengers per day, meaning an increase of 70,000 passengers per day in the system. meter. With the upgrade, the goal is to reduce lead time by up to 30%. During the construction period, it is estimated that 600 direct jobs and 3,000 indirect jobs will be generated in the production chain. In addition to revenues from rates and times, other benefits are expected, such as lower pollutant emissions, fewer traffic accidents, shorter travel times, induction to the development of the regions served, improved access to the system, among others. The project is part of the DF Urban Transport Master Plan (PDTU), an urban mobility project that seeks to expand the metro network in the federal unit.
