The plant will use the conventional activated sludge method to treat the sewage and then pour it into La Matanza river. The project aims to reduce the concentration of BOD load which, at entry, it is estimated at 170mg/l and, once treated, the discharged water should have less than 15mg/l of BOD and 20mg/l of Suspended Solid concentrations. It will be designed with the potential for expansion in the medium-term. The plant will be built in the La Matanza district of the city of Buenos Aires.
