The project will connect 12 districts in the northern and southern cones of Lima (San Juan de Miraflores, Miraflores, San Isidro, Lince, Jesús María, Cercado de Lima, Rímac, San Martín de Porres, Independencia, Los Olivos, Comas and Puente Piedra). This connection will be made through Chillón-Trapiche, Panamericana Norte, Tacna, Arequipa, Larco, Alfredo Benavides, Panamericana Sur and Pedro Miotta Avenues. Both the route and the stations will be subway and will have two tracks, one outbound and one return. Its route will start at El Álamo station, located in the district of Comas, and will end at the Pedro Miotta stop, located in the district of San Juan de Flores. Line 3 of the Lima subway plans to connect with the rest of the lines once its construction is completed. At the following stations it will be possible to transfer between lines. Line 1 will be connected to the following stops: Cabitos and Los Héroes. Line 2 will have a connection at the following stop: Estación Central (currently under construction). Through this station you will also be able to access the Metropolitano. The total number of trains planned to operate on this line is 66. The trains will be automatic and driverless. Each vehicle will be able to carry about 1,800 passengers, and is expected to carry more than 2 million people per day. The stations will have a system of automatically opening doors so that passengers can access the trains.
