Description: The project involves the modernization and expansion of Quetzal port in Guatemala's Escuintla department in order to enable docking of post-Panamax ships. Included in the plans is the construction of the new Quetzal container terminal (TCQ). Queztal port is administered by Empresa Portuaria Quetzal (EPQ), while Spanish port operator Grup TCB won the 25-year concession for the TCQ terminal.
