The line will cross the city connecting Pantitlán and Observatorio. It seeks to increase the transport capacity of users, increase the quality of service, reduce travel times, increase the frequency of trains, reduce maintenance costs and decrease the consumption of electrical energy. The term of the service provision contract (PPS) is 4 years of implementation, which ends with the start-up of the last of the 30 new trains. Subsequently, the services are valid for 7 years for the maintenance and upkeep of trains and tracks and 15 years for the maintenance and upkeep of the control system.
