Description: Modification of the Frontera Hydroelectric Power Plant Transmission System High-voltage power transmission lines The Project submitted for environmental assessment consists of modifying the layout of the high-voltage transmission line (hereinafter LAT) associated with the “Frontera Hydroelectric Power Plant” project. , environmentally approved and that has an Environmental Qualification Resolution (hereinafter RCA) in force through RE No. 071/2016 of February 12, 2016. The originally approved project contemplated, in general, a 1x220 kV simple circuit HTL, of 8 kilometers (km) in length and 27 structures (hereinafter "towers"), whose layout began in the High Voltage Yard of the Power Plant and whose electrical energy would be delivered to the Central Interconnected System (SIC), through a future substation that would section the existing Charrúa – Temuco 1x220 kV line owned by the company Transelec SA Subsequently, through the Relevance Consultation, pre Seated at the Environmental Assessment Service on September 3, 2018, the original layout of the LAT of the "Frontera Hydroelectric Power Plant" project is modified. Said modification to the original project consists of the elimination of the last 2 towers, leaving a total of 25; and establishing the change of the connection point where the electrical energy will be injected to the current National Electric System (hereinafter SEN). In accordance with this, the new electric power delivery point will be made through the connection with the LAT San Carlos – S/E Mulchén, a project approved environmentally and with RCA in force through RE No. 142/2017 of April 26 of the year. 2017. The LAT proposed and submitted for evaluation through this DIA maintains the characteristics of a simple circuit (1x220 kVA), the starting point of the layout, that is, the High Voltage Yard of the Power Plant and the connection point for the delivery of electric energy (LAT San Carlos – S/E Mulchén). However, this modification contemplates a change in the layout by adding 5 towers to the LAT, which translates into a total of 30 towers, and a length of 8.56 km. The associated easement strip contemplates a width of 50 m in total, 25 m on each side of the axis of the layout, the same as the LAT originally approved through RE No. 071/2016. The objective of the Project is the modification of the layout of the LAT associated with the "Frontera Hydroelectric Power Plant" project, environmentally approved and with RCA in force through RE No. 071/2016 of February 12, 2016, which presents a modification, entered into the Service of Environmental Assessment dated September 3, 2018. In this way, the modification that is presented for environmental assessment contemplates a change in the layout and number of towers that translates into a total of 30 towers, and a total length of the LAT of 8 .56km
