Description

Colombia's Ministry of Finance and Public Credit is responsible for coordinating the macroeconomic policies of the country, as well as for the definition, development and execution of the fiscal policy. It also manages the public resources of the Nation, both in terms of budget and finances. The Ministry has to prepare laws and rules; to regulate fiscal, money exchange, monetary and credit policies; and to coordinate, supervise and regulate tax management and collection. The Ministry also regulates the Colombia's social security system and it origin dates back to the country's 1886 Constitution.
