Description

Dutch supplier SBM Offshore N.V. offers services to the offshore oil and gas industry worldwide. Established in 1969, the Amsterdam-based company's main activity is the design, supply, installation and operation of floating production, storage and offloading units (FPSOs). In Brazil the company has a regional office in Rio de Janeiro and shore bases in Santos and Vítoria. Its newest Brazilian FPSOs are Cidade de Ilhabela, which began production in 2014, and Cidade de Maricá and Cidade de Saquarema that commenced operations in 2016. The three FPSOs have charters for 20 years. SBM Offshore employs approximately 7,000 people spread over five main regional centers and 11 operational shore bases.
