Brazil's iron ore exports rose 37% year-on-year in November to US$1.23bn, according to foreign trade department Secex.
The average price of Brazilian iron ore last month was US$39.2/t, up 22%. In terms of volume, exports were 12.3% higher at 31.4Mt.
Flat-rolled steel exports dipped 5.8% to US$130mn, while volumes tumbled 25.4% to 240,500t. Prices rose 26.3% to US$539/t.
Exports of semi-manufactured iron and steel products rose 87% to US$252mn, with volumes jumping 51.1% to 737,700t and prices rising 23.7% to US$341/t.
Brazil's aluminum exports dropped 8.9% year-on-year to US$36.8mn in November. Volumes fell 11.5% to 23,500t, while prices were 3% higher at US$1,562/t, the Secex figures show.
