Nineteen firms participated in site visits for an LPG transport and distribution project planned by Ecuadorian state oil company Petroecuador's transport and distribution subsidiary Petrocomercial.
In December, Petrocomercial relaunched bidding for the US$120mn, 540-day project which includes a 123km, 12-inch pipeline.
The potential bidders are Acindec; Alteconsa; Aquablanc Project; ARB Ecuador; Beite B&T; China Dalian; Constructora Velasteguí Cerón; Electrocom; EMC Industrial Supply; Geobnefigas; Ghozanty; Iisapetrol; Inesa; Ingeniería, Mantenimiento y Montajes Tissot; Lpgas; Molemotor; Presercorp; PTS Colombia; and SHI-Asia, according to a Petrocomercial document.
Offers are due February 3 and awarding slated for March.
The system is part of an integral LPG storage project for the area and entails construction of a pumping and distribution station in Monteverde, Santa Elena province; and a storage and distribution terminal in El Chorrillo, Guayas province.
The project aims to reduce the high cost of floating fuel storage and transshipments, and will guarantee supply to the south of the country until 2030.
