IN BRIEF: Peru greenlights acreage transfer deal

Peru's government authorized state oil company Petroperú to cede 75% of block 64, also known as Morona, to GeoPark.

Hydrocarbons licensing authority Perupetro, which approved the transfer in 2015, now is authorized to sign the license contract change with Petroperú and GeoPark, according to a supreme decree.

In June, Petroperú extended to March 31, 2017 the deadline to close an E&P agreement with GeoPark for the acreage.
