French oil and gas services company Technip secured a contract to supply proprietary technology as well as engineering and procurement services for two hydrogen reformers in Venezuela.

The contract was awarded by Hyundai-Wison engineering consortium for a "significant" price - ranging from 50mn-100mn euros (US$65.2mn-130mn), Technip said in a press release.

The completed reformers will process 135Mf3/d of methane and are part of Venezuela state oil firm PDVSA's upgrade of the Puerto La Cruz refinery.

Technip expects to complete the project in 2H14.
