French oil and gas services company Technip secured a contract to supply proprietary technology as well as engineering and procurement services for two hydrogen reformers in Venezuela.
The contract was awarded by Hyundai-Wison engineering consortium for a "significant" price - ranging from 50mn-100mn euros (US$65.2mn-130mn), Technip said in a press release.
"This project will utilize Technip's high-efficiency top-fired steam reformers, to produce high-purity hydrogen and export steam, and the latest nitrogen oxide reduction technology to ensure minimum emissions," the firm said.
Technip expects to complete the project in 2H14.
