Bolivia's state hydrocarbons company YPFB has issued an international call for bids to carry out the process design package, front-end engineering and design studies, and detailed engineering, procurement, construction, startup and maintenance of an ammonia and a urea plant.
The facility, to be located in Bulo Bulo in Cochabamba department's Carrasco province, will have capacity to produce approximately 645,000t/y of urea.
YPFB will supply the natural gas to guarantee the functioning of the plants.
Offers are due June 20 and a decision expected August 7, with contract signing penciled in for August 23, according to the bidding documents.
