Fortinet expands reach in Latin America

Thursday, September 1, 2011

US information security systems supplier Fortinet (Nasdaq: FTNT) is expanding its reach in Latin America through an agreement with value-added distributor Adistec, the companies said in a statement.

Adistec will distribute Fortinet's high-performance network security hardware in Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru - markets considered as key in the company's regional growth strategy.

"We chose Adistec as one of our primary distributors in the region because they've already established relations with partners focused on the enterprise market - not only in the security segment but also strongly positioned in data center infrastructure and cloud computing," said Nuno Mantinhas, Fortinet sales director for Latin America and the Caribbean.
