French software provider Dassault Systemes has inked a partnership with Brazilian software firm SKA, Dassault Systemes said in a statement.

A specialist in CAD and CAM software, SKA has agreed to distribute Dassault Systemes' SolidWorks solution in São Paulo state.

SKA has units in the city of São Paulo, as well as in Santa Bárbara D'Oeste.

Arcos Dorados, the company that manages the McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) brand in Latin America, has acquired a solution from US e-payment solutions provider VeriFone Systems (NYSE: PAY), the latter company said in a release.

Arcos Dorados bought VeriFone Systems' PAYware Merchant card payment and settlement hosted service. The solution will facilitate card payment processing at the point of sale.

Arcos Dorados manages 1,850 McDonald's restaurants in 19 Latin American countries.


US call center operator Telvista has received PCI DSS certification at its contact centers in Mexico and the US, the company said in a statement.

PCI DSS is a set of requirements designed to enhance payment account data security.

Telvista's Mexican facilities are located in Tijuana, Mexicali and Mexico City.


Brazilian computer manufacturer Daten Tecnologia has released its first netbook, the company said in a statement.

The model, called Daten Mobile NTV00, is produced at Daten Tecnologia's Ilhéus factory, and can be found on sale at major retailers.
