Slovakian antivirus and security software developer Eset has appointed Jerónimo Varela as the company's new COO for its Latin American operations, Eset said in a statement.

Varela previously worked for Eset as the company's regional sales and marketing director. The executive has also worked for Sybase and Accenture.

Sales in Latin America currently account for some 5% of the company's global revenues, the firm said.

Since 2004, Eset's Latin America headquarters have been in Buenos Aires.


Chilean security services provider Soluciones Orion has appointed Pablo Massis as country manager for Peru, Soluciones Orion said in a statement.

The executive has a degree in civil industrial engineering from Chile's Universidad Diego Portales, as well as a graduate degree in management from the Universidad de Chile.

In Peru, the firm has several clients including Pacífico Seguros, Yobel SCM, La Positiva Vida, La Positiva Seguros Generales, Minera Buenaventura, Americatel, Komatsu, BBVA, Nextel and Interbank.

In Latin America, Soluciones Orion also has presence in Argentina and Colombia.


Brazilian solutions integrator POS Integrated Solutions has named André Luis Natanael as director of operations, according to a company release.

Natanael previously worked for Walmart and IMC.

POS Integrated Solutions was formed in 2008 after a spinoff from compatriot firm Sonda Procwork, which is the Brazilian unit of Chilean IT systems integrator Sonda.

The company has more than 400 clients including Burger King, Pizza Hut, Frango Assado, Viena, Wraps, Fogo de Chão, Brunella, Hooters, Garcia & Rodrigues and Terraço Itália.
