The Brazilian unit of Finnish security solutions provider F-Secure has formed a partnership with local internet access provider iG, the companies said in a joint statement.

Under the terms of the agreement, F-Secure and iG will offer services such as antivirus and backup to SMEs.

UK telecoms operator British Telecom (BT) has disclosed plans to expand its data center in Hortolândia, Brazil, BT said in a release.

BT will use the facility to provide solutions such as infrastructure as a service and virtual data center to clients around the world.

BT has presence in 170 countries worldwide, including new sites in Argentina, Mexico and Brazil.


Trinidad & Tobago has launched an e-government website called TTBizLink, the government said in a press release.

The website allows citizens and companies to engage with the government for business and trade purposes.

TTBizLink has eight modules, including import and export permits, goods declaration, company registration and work permit applications.


Chilean healthcare solution provider Tisal has acquired services from Canadian consultancy firm Procesix, the latter company said in a statement.

Procesix will advise Tisal on CMMI level 3 certification.

Procesix specializes in process improvement through CMMI and other disciplines including ITIL, COBIT and PMBOK.
