Chilean technology transfer firm Neos opened offices in Miami, the company said in a release.

"The main goal of Neos' US operations is to create a network of investors interested in business opportunities in Chile and the entire region," said Neos founder Allan Jarry.

The Argentine division of Franco-Dutch IT company Atos Origin has named Florencia Tiscornia as human resources director, the company said in a statement.

Before joining Atos Origin Argentina, Tiscornia served as human resources director for the local division of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The executive holds a degree in economics from Argentina's Universidad del Salvador, as well as an MBA from Universidad del CEMA.


Argentine IT and communications users association Usuaria will host the 11th edition of the SegurInfo conference, Usuaria said in a statement.

The event will take place March 15 in Buenos Aires, and will feature discussions on topics such as internet banking, risk management and IT security in the cloud.


Brazilian toll road operator CCR (Bovespa: CCRO3) has acquired a solution from Spanish IT firm Telvent (Nasdaq: TLVT), the latter company said in a statement.

Telvent will implement its SmartMobility Tunnel solution on the western section of the São Paulo highway Rodoanel Mario Covas. The solution will centralize tunnel infrastructure and traffic management.
