The government of Argentina's Buenos Aires province has announced plans to build a plastic waste recycling plant in the Exaltación de la Cruz municipality.
The project will be carried out by local firm Eco Plus, with the participation of the province's sustainable development organization, OPDS, the province government said in a release.
The plant will be the second of its kind in the country, according OPDS head Horacio Errazu.
The facility will break down plastic containers into polyethylene terephthalate (PET) content such as pellets.
