Mexico's Sonora state water utility Oomapas has committed to boosting potable water service in towns Nuevo Milenio and Mediterráneo.
The utility plans to increase service from the current four hours every two days, to a daily service and for longer hours, local daily El Imparcial reported.
Nuevo Milenio and Mediterráneo are the areas most lacking potable water service in the state. The initiative is expected to benefit at least 500 local households.
