Region II to spend US$2.4mn on Ollagüe sewerage project

Chile's region II government has earmarked 1.23bn pesos (US$2.4mn) to build a sewerage network in the town of Ollagüe, according to the region's governor Álvaro Fernández.

The project involves implementing a wastewater collectors and a treatment system that will allow for wastewater reuse in irrigation, local daily Lo Actual reported.

Work is slated to begin by February, according to Ollagüe mayor José Cid.
