Project Details

The project consists of the construction and operation of three run-of-river plants: Puelche Alto (20MW), Puelche Bajo (20MW) and El Alto (10MW). The first two will be on the river Puelche and the third on El Alto, both tributaries of the river Maule. It aims to inject power to the central SIC grid via water intake works at Puelche river - which have the ability to adjust to varying workload demand and are equipped with fixed and mobile barrages. The project will require 1,035 workers during the construction phase and nine people during the ensuing operational phase.
