Description:
Uruguay-based Interbarge is an inland waterway transport company of dry bulk commodities and logistics provider, founded in 1997. It engages in the transportation of soybeans and corn from Paraguay and Bolivia to the crushing plants located across the Paraná-Paraguay Waterway System, and iron ore from Brazil to La Plata River, in Argentina, targeted at the domestic market or export via ocean-going vessels. Interbarge's fleet is made up of 258 barges and 13 pushboats. Its corporate office is in Montevideo, with other regional offices in Asunción; Buenos Aires; and a representative office in Corumba, Brazil.
