Description:
The IPEEM JV refers to exploration agreements between the Instituto Provincial de Exploraciones y Explotaciones Mineras (IPEEM), the provincial mining authority of San Juan, Argentina, and Aurora Mining S.A., the Argentine subsidiary of King Copper Discovery Corp. (formerly Turmalina Metals Corp.). IPEEM was created under Provincial Law No. 6029 in 1989 and administers mining concessions owned by the Province of San Juan. Under these agreements, Aurora Mining S.A. funds and conducts mineral exploration activities on provincial mining ground. The exploration area includes approximately 11,038 hectares in San Juan Province, adjacent to and forming part of the broader San Francisco copper-gold project area in the Andes. Within this framework, the San Francisco project concession is administered under the IPEEM JV structure, where IPEEM holds the concession rights and Aurora Mining S.A. acts as operator. The arrangement is contractual and does not constitute a separately incorporated joint venture company.
