Paraguay's Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) is a government agency tasked with promoting and regulating public infrastructure projects, as well as designing, developing, and executing the executive branch policies and regulations pertaining to the South American infrastructure integration initiative, IIRSA. The ministry is also responsible for public goods and services related to the areas of public works, transportation, communications, energy, mining, tourism and national parks, and national monuments. The MOPC was created in 1940 and its head office is located in Asuncion.
