Edegel to auction US$5.8mn bonds June 17

Peruvian generator Edegel will auction four-year bonds worth up to 20mn soles (US$5.75mn) on the local market in a Dutch auction Thursday, the company said in a statement to the Lima stock exchange. The bonds will be issued on Friday (June 18). The bonds are series B of the sixth issue of Edegel's second bonds program. Interest will be paid twice a year. Credit ratings agencies Apoyo y Asociados and Pacific Credit Rating rate the issue at AAA and pAAA respectively. BBVA Banco Continental structured the issue and BBVA Continental Bolsa is the placing agent. Edegel has 1,029MW installed capacity and is owned by generator Endesa Chile (NYSE: EOC).
