Colombia's LPG sector proposes new roadmap

Colombian liquefied petroleum gas association Gasnova has called for the introduction of an LPG stabilization fund to regulate the impact of price fluctuations on final users.

The entity also urged the government to make greater efforts to tackle informality and illegality throughout the LPG value chain in a proposed five-year roadmap presented to the national planning department.

"The document sets out the most important issues for the development of the LPG industry in the coming years," Gasnova said. 

Other recommendations made by Gasnova in the plan include an overhaul of the market structure, improved access for low income and remote users and an expanded subsidy program.
