Brazilian power regulator Aneel has received requests for 21 solar projects from local developer Elementos Empreendimentos.
The proposed plants – all located in the northeastern state of Rio Grande do Norte – have a combined installed capacity of 630MW, according to federal gazette Diário Oficial da União.
Fifteen of the projects are planned for the city of Paraú while the remaining six have been earmarked for Baraúna.
