Chile's CDEC-SIC opens transmission bids

Chile's central grid operator CDEC-SIC opened administrative and technical offers for five transmission tenders, confirming that each bidder submitted all the necessary documentation.

Projects include the 500/220kV, 750MVA autotransformer banks Nueva Cardones, Nueva Maitencillo and Pan de Azúcar.

For these calls, CDEC-SIC received bids from consortium Saesa-Chilquinta, Transnet, Interconexión Eléctrica and Abengoa.

Offers for the Alto Jahuel autotransformer bank were submitted by Saesa-Chilquinta, Abengoa and Transelec.

For the 2x220kV Lo Aguirre-Cerro Navia transmission line, only Chilectra and Transelec submitted bids.

The contracts are scheduled to be awarded on July 30.

All works are scheduled to begin in August. The transformer banks have a completion deadline of 36 months, while the transmission line must be finished in 48 months.
