Chile's Schwager sells PV project rights

Chile's Schwager Energy closed a share purchase agreement with Cyprus-based Origis Energy for the 20MW Chaka PV project in northern Atacama region (III).

Origis will assume 100% of the project's management and 85% of the shares in Schwager subsidiary Central Solar Desierto I, which was created to develop PV projects in the region.

The original deadline for Origis to secure financing for the deal was June 30. Schwager later extended the deadline to September 30.

In addition to Chaka, the special purpose company is developing the Kunza PV project on the northern SING grid.
