Enel makes more LatAm management changes

Enel Group said CFO Luigi Ferraris will replace Ignacio Antoñanzas Alvear as the group's head of Latin America operations and will become CEO of Chile-based subsidiary Enersis.

"Chile is a hub for the group in a region where we will invest heavily to drive sustainable growth," Enel CEO Francesco Starace said in a company release.

Subsidiaries Endesa Chile and Chilectra also announced changes in their respective leaderships following a restructuring of Enel's family of companies in Chile.

Endesa Chile named Enrico Viale as president, replacing Jorge Rosenblut, who was appointed chairman of the board of Enersis.

Chilectra's board named Livio Gallo as president, replacing Juan María Moreno Mellado. Moreno will continue as director, in place of José Luis Marín López-Otero, who is resigning.

Endesa Chile is the largest generator in terms of installed capacity on the central SIC grid, while Chilectra distributes electricity to some 1.6mn clients in and around capital Santiago.

The personnel changes follow appointments by Endesa Chile and Chilectra of new CEOs Valter Moro and Andreas Gebhardt, respectively.
